One of our rooms at Hotel Bonjour. There are many family-run guesthouses in this part of town.
The folks that ran this one were led by a gentleman named Erdil. He was both entertaining and helpful. Part of his helpfulness came from having been a tourist himself -- he recommended cheap but good places to eat, complained about prices in the tourist restaurants, etc.
Curiously, he is married to a Japanese woman, and he spends three months a year in Hokkaido.
