Ben, a French Canadian on his first trip outside of Canada. (Actually his second. His father was a truck driver, and Ben once rode along to Memphis, "seeing nothing at all." Ben, Michael, and German couple stayed at Fatima's, too.
We all ate together -- goat, yogurt, olives, bread, etc. After dinner, Fatima and her husband presented a couple parlor tricks.
Ben talked about being intimidated by all the people and attention his first few days in Istanbul. Interesting because I think most people in a new place have the same feelings but push past those feelings and get out and do things. Perhaps it took Ben a day or two longer. Interesting fellow.
