This is the Reformation Wall. These four statues, in the center are William Farel, John Calvin, Theodore Beza, and John Knox. There are an additional six statues of other Reformation folks on either side of these, including Oliver Cromwell but excluding Martin Luther.
Geneva was the home of John Calvin. Calvin eventually overcame opposition to his ideas and resided, preached, and died here. Ultimately he was powerful enough to have his own heretic, Michael Servatus, burned at the stake.
Someday, perhaps, I'll be interested enough to figure out who all these other folks are and why they were important but perhaps not.
