The Lisbon airport has a poet and an artist in residence, so posters like this one greeted us.
In Lisbon, we had to go through EU passport control. This wouldn't have been bad but modern airline scheduling has many flights arriving simultaneously and then many departing shortly afterwards, so there were a bazillion people in line. Lisbon copes with this by having a bunch of staff members who walk up and down the line calling the destinations of flights about to leave and then letting people on those flights move to the front of the line.
Once we were through passport control, we were met by another transfer person who raced us through the terminal to our gate. Bizarre system but it worked.
