The lion is the symbol of Bulgaria. Our tour guide noted, "There is just one problem. We don't have lions in Bulgaria. So, the artists didn't have good models all the time. So, some of our lions look like dogs. If you see a statue of a dog, it might be a lion."
This lion is on the Lion Bridge. On the way from central Sofia to the train and bus stations.
