I was surprised at how much I liked much of the art. I expected something more comedic -- like the Chinese monuments we saw in Tibet. I thought many of these sculptures were nice pieces of art. As Tote has pointed out, most contemporary, representational, public sculpture in the U.S. is horribly bad. This wasn't.
