We liked the platform -- it seemed breezier than on the ground.
Rudd Pond was once quite popular for swimming and camping. We were told that when the pool opened in Millerton, people stopped coming. We saw only a couple other campers.
The park has a weed-cutter boat to clip the aquatic weeds that otherwise would swallow the swimming area. The beach consists of sand with a weed barrier beneath it. One wonders about agricultural runoff from the neighboring cornfields.
