Eveready Diner in Hyde Park, NY. Our waitress, mother of two adult sons, came to the U.S. with her husband in the 1970's. She and her husband came with nothing and eventually owned a diner. She thinks that it is tougher for kids to make it these days: "We came with nothing, but today, it's harder, you know."
