Aso Shrine is one of the oldest in Japan,
but like many things old, it was destroyed and rebuilt many
times. Perhaps because a large part of the shrine was
closed or perhaps it was my apprehension about the storm, but I
didn't find the shrine particularly beautiful or interesting.
