 Physical Characteristics

The formica sanguinea is a little larger then an average ant. They have larger and stronger mandibles, which help them on slave raids. They also have a venom which they use in combat. A formica sanguinea cannot feed itself or perform many colony jobs, so their colonies depend on their captives for food, for the care of young, and for colony maintenance. The formica sanguinea is blood red in color. Formica sanguinea are a more intelligent than the average ant.
