Kuchipudi is one of six classical dance styles of India. Kuchipudi is indigenous to the state of Andhra Pradesh and differs from the other five classical styles by the inclusion of singing. Traditionally, the dancers were male, but in modern times woman have become dancers. Compared to Kathekali, the make up was much more elaborate and this performance was much, much more athletic. The singing was interesting and fascinating.
